A sample of 29 patients of both sexes betweenthe ages of 7 and 12, with an average of a 9 years of age was evaluated. All patients were wxamined from an Orthodontic, Otorhinolatyngologic, Phonoaudiologic and Phisiatrical points of view. The clínical/ physical diagnosis as well as the radiographic, started from a natural head posture of the patient. The x-rays werw taken in natural position withfixed sight in a mirror. On the x- rays cephalometric tracings were done to carry out the lateral and frontal Ricketts analysis, the Björk- Jaraback and our own designs to value cranial and rnaxilary relationships, aerial tract, the craniurn- cervical and hyoid posture, with relation to a plena of external reference as the real vertical. The breathing assessment was carried out by tire ORL team of Clinica de la Familia. The analysis of nasal ventilatory function was complemented with a comuterized Rhinomanometric by rneans of a computarized Rhinodebitomanometric, of nasal andoscopy and audiometric tests when required.Lic. Silvia Risler, member of oue team was in charge of the Phonoaudiologic assessment and Dr. Hebe Castillo was in charge of the Physiatric assessrnent. Each of them made a special chart of evaluation, treatment and deceloprnent control. The porposed Orthodontic Treatment consisted in the use of extra oral orthopedic devices of high traction with a short external arch to achieve a vertical and sagital control of the growth of the superior maxilar and a mandibular self rotation. The treatment was complemeted with fixed appliance in mixed dentition as the first stage. All the evaluations showed a satisfactory growth potencial with the interdisciplinary treatment chosen. The functional and cephalometric variables were significant to demostrate the biomechanical cranio-cervico-mandibular and hyoid change when rehabilitating the respiratory function, the body posture and to balance the intermaxilar relatioship through the effort of an interdisciplinary team UR - https://rdu.unc.edu.ar/handle/11086/1805 ER -
